Aston Villa Women lost 1-0 to Brighton in the Women's Super League on Saturday. The only goal of the game was scored by Brighton's George, handing Villa a second consecutive league defeat.
The result leaves Carla Ward's side 11th in the FA WSL standings with just one point from their opening two fixtures. Their recent form reads LD, having drawn with Chelsea before the heavy loss to Manchester City last weekend.
Elsewhere in the WSL on the same day, the match between Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur finished goalless. Palace played the majority of that contest with ten players after Tsunoda was sent off for a foul on Tandberg.
For Villa, the focus now shifts to addressing a defence that has conceded five goals in two games.
